PRIVACY AT LEBSOURCING

Privacy notice

This notice explains how LebSourcing handles personal information when professionals submit a profile or apply for an opportunity, when employers contact us, and when anyone uses lebsourcing.com.

Effective date:15 October 2026

1. Who we are

LebSourcing operates lebsourcing.com and helps companies connect with individual Lebanese professionals. In this notice, “LebSourcing”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the party responsible for handling the personal information described here.

For privacy questions or requests, contact info@lebsourcing.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created through our relationship with you, and limited technical information produced when you use the website.

  • Candidate information: name, contact details, location, CV, education, work history, skills, languages, portfolio or professional links, availability, role preferences, compensation expectations, application answers and communications with us.
  • Employer information: business contact details, company information, hiring requirements, role details, budget, location or time-zone needs, and communications with us.
  • Website and security information: IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, request and security logs, and essential cookie preferences.

A CV is required when submitting a candidate application or general professional profile. Please do not include passport or government identification numbers, bank details, medical information, or other sensitive information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure channel and explain why it is needed.

3. How we use information

  • Assess candidate experience, skills and suitability for relevant opportunities.
  • Respond to employer enquiries and understand the individual professional a team needs.
  • Introduce suitable professionals and companies, arrange conversations, and support the selection process.
  • Communicate about an application, profile, enquiry or potential opportunity.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and our services.
  • Prevent misuse, protect our rights, comply with legal duties, and establish or defend legal claims.

We may create aggregated or de-identified information for service planning and improvement. We do not use that information to identify you again.

5. Candidate assessment and profile sharing

People review candidate profiles and make decisions about potential introductions. We may use search, filters or other tools to organize information, but we do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on a candidate solely through automated processing.

Where practical, we first discuss a candidate using a non-identifying summary. Before sharing a CV or identifiable profile with a prospective customer, we will explain the opportunity and ask the candidate to authorize that sharing. A candidate may withdraw permission for future sharing, although this cannot reverse a disclosure already made with authorization.

6. Who may receive information

  • Prospective employers or customers, when needed for a relevant opportunity and, for an identifiable candidate profile or CV, after candidate authorization.
  • Service providers that support hosting, private file storage, email delivery, security, administration and other website operations, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Professional advisers, courts, regulators or public authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
  • A successor or relevant counterparty in a merger, reorganization or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable safeguards and notice requirements.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for cross-context behavioural or targeted advertising.

7. International processing

LebSourcing connects professionals in Lebanon with organizations in the Gulf, North America and other regions. Personal information may therefore be accessed, stored or processed in countries outside your place of residence. Where required, we use contractual, organizational and technical safeguards intended to protect information during international processing.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. Candidate CVs are kept in private storage, and access is limited to people who need it for their work. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please use care when deciding what to submit.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes in this notice, subject to legal obligations and any need to preserve information for a dispute or investigation. Our standard periods are:

Incomplete submissions
30 days.
General candidate profile and CV
Up to 24 months after submission, a meaningful update or renewed confirmation. We aim to invite candidates to review their details after 12 months.
Unsuccessful selection process
12 months after the process ends. A separately submitted general talent profile may remain for up to 24 months.
Employer enquiry
24 months after the last meaningful contact.
Successful engagement records
Operational, accounting or legal records may be kept for up to 7 years where required. We do not keep a full CV for that reason alone.
Technical and security logs
Normally 90 days, unless a security event requires longer preservation.
Consent and privacy-request records
5 years so we can demonstrate and honor your choices.

When deletion is requested or a retention period ends, we aim to remove the information from active systems within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in protected backups for up to 90 additional days before normal expiry.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access or receive a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.

Email info@lebsourcing.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. Tell us what you need and provide enough information to locate your record. We may verify your identity before acting. We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete them within 30 days, unless applicable law allows or requires a different period.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

The current website uses only technologies that are necessary to operate, secure and remember essential choices. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we later introduce optional analytics or marketing technologies, we will update this notice and request consent where the law requires it.

12. Age requirement

LebSourcing is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect candidate applications from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us so we can review and delete it.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our services, practices or legal duties change. We will publish the revised notice here, update its effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use personal information.
